How a polymer trading company reads 50+ Telegram channels a day with Renvel

A plastics trader used to read 50+ Telegram channels by hand to track prices. Now a private AI analyst reads them. It saves every price in the firm's own database and sends two reports a day. The team still checks prices by hand while they build trust.

The problem: 50 channels, read by hand

This company trades plastics. Polystyrene, ABS, PPR, pipe grades, polypropylene, film grades.

Prices don't come from one place. They come from more than 50 Telegram channels and groups. Sellers post prices as text, as tables, as photos with the price written under them, and as documents. The official exchange is only one of those sources.

So the team read them by hand. They compared prices by hand. They made reports by hand. They did this for months.

Old prices were the worst part. Once a post scrolled away, it was hard to find again.

The owner had a clear picture. To write it down, the owner asked ChatGPT about 70 questions. Read the market from 9:00 to 18:00 every day. Save every price. Send a dashboard every morning, without being asked.

What we set up: a private analyst inside Telegram

We set up an AI analyst that lives in Telegram, where the team already works.

Every day it:

  • reads the approved channels, including text, photos and documents;
  • saves every price in the company's own database, on its own server, with a link to the original post;
  • keeps official exchange results apart from seller ads.

It answers questions in Telegram, like:

  • "latest price for this grade";
  • "compare two grades last week";
  • "what changed since yesterday".

It sends two reports on a schedule:

  • a midday PDF market report;
  • an evening dashboard for the boss.

The owner asked for two kinds of output. A short brief: the lowest and highest price for each grade, with no seller contacts. And a full dashboard: this month against last month, the percent up or down, and the fastest movers. Seller details and links come only when someone asks about one grade.

What it never does:

  • It never makes up a value. If something is missing, it says so.
  • It never posts, buys or contacts suppliers. It only reads.

Each person uses their own Telegram account. An admin approves who gets in. The catalogue holds 183 grades.

Results: what works, and what's still being fixed

The agent reads 50+ channels every day. It sends two reports a day without anyone asking. It tracks 183 grades.

It wasn't perfect at the start. In one early check it skipped 12 photo posts. It also covered only some of the grades.

And the team still checks prices by hand. That's on purpose. They want to see the agent be right, day after day, before they stop checking. Trust takes time. We'd rather earn it than claim it.

Every day, whether I ask or not, it should study the market. Collect the prices. Archive them. And give me a dashboard in the morning.
